This site, theconedsolution.com, is run by The ConEd Solution, LLC, 3158 Parliament Circle, Montgomery, AL 36116. This page says what the site collects, why, and what happens to it.
What is collected, and why
- Account and order details. Your name, email address, billing address and the details of each order, so that your purchase can be delivered and your account can be reached.
- Your license profile. Your license type, the state that licenses you, your license number, your renewal date and your credentials. Your name, credentials, license type and license number print on every certificate, because a licensing board that audits a certificate expects to see them. Your state selects the acceptance statement that prints with the certificate. Your renewal date drives the credit tracker in your account. None of it is used for anything else.
- Card payments. Cards are processed by WooPayments, a payment service operated by Automattic and built on Stripe. Your card number never reaches this site’s server; the site receives only a confirmation that the payment went through.
- Course records. As you take a course the site records which lessons you have completed, your post-test attempts and scores, and your answers on the course evaluation. When you complete a course it records the completion, meaning the course, the date, the credit awarded and the certificate number, and issues your certificate from that record.
- Email. The site sends you mail about your account, your orders and your certificates, and reminders if you ask to close your account. There is no marketing list.
- Contact form. A message sent through the Contact page is delivered to us by email.
- Site statistics. Page visits are counted in aggregate with Google Analytics: which pages are read, and how often. These counts are not used to identify you by name.
- Cookies. The site sets cookies to keep you signed in, to remember your cart, and for the statistics above.
- Certificate verification. Anyone who holds a certificate number and the last name on it can confirm on the Verify page that the certificate is on record. The page shows only what the certificate itself shows, meaning the name, the course, the course code, the credit and the date. It never shows a license number, an email address or a state.
How it is used
To deliver what you bought, to give you access to your courses and your account, to issue and verify your certificates, to answer messages you send, and to keep the record of credit issued that a licensing board may ask for. Your information is never sold.
Who else sees it
Only the services needed to run the site: WooPayments for card payments, Kinsta for hosting, Google Analytics for the counts above, and Site Mailer, the delivery service that carries the site’s email. No one else.
How long it is kept
Your account, your course records, your certificates and your transcript are kept for as long as your account exists. If you close your account, it is removed 30 days after you ask, with a reminder each week and the option to keep it. The record that a certificate was issued, meaning the name on it, the course, the date, the credit and the number, is kept after that as the provider’s own record, because a licensing board can audit a certificate years after it was earned.
Your choices
You can see and change your contact details, your license state and your renewal date at any time in your account. Your name, credentials, license type and license number are fixed once the account exists, because they print on certificates; a legal change is made by us on request. To close your account, choose Close my account under Account details.
