What is The ConEd Solution?

The ConEd Solution, LLC provides evidence-based, on-demand continuing education and professional development courses for healthcare professionals. Every course is built from current published research and cites its sources, and each is reviewed and signed off by a licensed clinician and subject matter expert, the instructor of record, whose name and credentials appear on the course page and on the certificate.

Each course awards contact hours, and one contact hour is 60 minutes. The credit is shown on the course page and on the certificate as hours with the minutes beside them, for example “1.0 contact hour (60 min)”. The minutes are the time the course takes to read, listen to and complete the post-test.

Three things, in order. Complete every lesson: lessons complete on their own as you go through them, and the podcast lesson completes when the episode has played to the end. Pass the post-test with a score of 80% or higher; you may retake it. Submit the course evaluation. The certificate is issued the moment the evaluation is submitted.

A course stays open for 90 days from the day you buy it. Within those 90 days nothing is timed: no lesson has a clock, and neither does the post-test. After 90 days the course closes; your completion record and certificate stay in your account.

Continuing education rules are set state by state. In fourteen states, boards do not pre-approve individual courses; they publish the criteria for acceptable continuing education, and our courses have been designed to meet the criteria for acceptable CE in each of them: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Utah and Washington. Each of those states’ acceptance statements, with the rule it rests on, is in the credit panel on every course page. In states that approve providers or courses directly, we are actively working on obtaining approval, and the course page will say so as each one comes through. The ConEd Solution, LLC does not yet hold a board approval in any state. Confirm with your own board before you rely on a course for renewal.

Not yet. We are working with CE Broker and the other reporting services that boards use, and we expect to offer reporting in the near future. Until then, download your certificate from My Account and submit it to your board when your board asks for it. A board can check any certificate on the Verify page.

It is issued the moment you complete a course. Open My Account and then Certificates to download it, or download all of your certificates at once. Certificates stay in your account for as long as the account exists, so a lost copy is downloaded again, not replaced.

Your name and credentials; your license type, state and number; the course title and code; the credit awarded and the date completed; the instructor of record; and a verification number. The second page carries who the course is for, the course description, the numbered learning objectives, the timed outline, how the contact hours were calculated, the instructor’s qualifications and the completion requirements you met.

Yes. The Verify page confirms a certificate from its number and the last name on it, and shows only what the certificate itself shows.

Not from your account. They print on every certificate you earn, so they are fixed once the account exists. A legal change, after a marriage for example, is made by us on request with documentation; use the Contact page. Your license state, renewal date, email address and password you can change yourself under Account details.

For as long as your account exists. If you ask to close your account, it closes 30 days later; you get a reminder each week, and you can change your mind at any point in those 30 days. After that, the record that each certificate was issued is kept as our own record, because a licensing board can audit a certificate years after it was earned. The Privacy Policy has the detail.
