A full-length practice exam shows which content areas need work before you study anything.
Get a plan for your exam date
Enter your exam date and the days and times you can study. The app lays out each session, block by block, and moves missed work forward.
Study what you missed
Each topic has a lesson, review notes, practice activities and flashcards. The app assigns the topics behind your missed questions.

Four full-length practice exams follow the FSBPT content outline. After each one, your plan is rebuilt from the new results.
Built by a PTA program director
NPTE-PTA Prep was designed by T-Michael Dougherty, Ed.D., MPA, who directed a PTA program for eight years. When his program’s first-time pass rate fell far enough to put its accreditation at risk, he rebuilt how its students prepared for the exam, using learning science and instructional design. The most recent group of students to prepare that way had a 100% first-time pass rate.

The decisions the app makes for you
What to study. Your exam results choose the topics behind the questions you missed, starting with your weakest content areas.
When to study. Each study day is laid out in advance around your schedule. A missed session moves forward instead of being lost.
How much is enough. Readiness means 75% or better overall and in every content area. Your Progress page shows where you stand after each exam.
What to memorize. Facts you need to know cold go on flashcards. Clinical reasoning is practiced with exam-style questions and patient scenarios.

Build your own practice with the Generator
When you want more practice on a topic, the Generator writes new exam-style items for it. Each one is written from the app’s notes for that topic and checked before you see it, and every answer choice is explained.
Question: one multiple-choice question on the topic you pick.
Question set: 2 to 12 questions on one topic, mixed the way the exam mixes them.
Case study: one patient chart and 3 to 5 linked questions that follow that patient over time.
Scenario: one detailed patient chart with exam findings, and a question that depends on them.
Your account receives 300 Generator credits on the first of each month, included in the price. Monthly credits you do not use do not carry over to the next month. A month’s credits cover, for example, 50 questions in sets or 10 case studies.
If you run out before the end of the month, you can buy more in the app: 300 credits for $20, 600 for $35, or 1,000 for $50. Credits you buy carry over until your access ends.
Practice the way you will test
The full-length practice exams use an exam screen modeled on the testing center, with a timer, the scheduled break, flagging questions for review, and strikethrough on answer choices. Each exam has 180 questions, and some are unscored pretest questions mixed in without a mark, as on the NPTE-PTA. Study on your phone, tablet or computer.
For PTA programs
A PTA program can buy NPTE-PTA Prep for its students and pay by invoice. The price for each student depends on how many students are in the class. A program buying for one student pays the regular price of $399. Each student gets their own account, their own study plan and their own exam date.

Send each student’s name, email address and graduation date.
4. Students sign in
Each student receives an email with a link to sign in. Their year of access starts the first time they sign in.
Reports for program directors
Weekly progress report
Included with every program purchase. A weekly email showing how many of your students studied, how many are on track with their plan, and how many have reached readiness. It lists each student by name with their exam date, whether they are on track, and their readiness.
Group performance report
$195 per class. Your class’s results on the four full-length practice exams by content area and body system, readiness, participation and reported pass rate. Sent monthly while the class studies, with a final report after the last exam date.

Questions
How long does access last?
Access runs for one year from the date of purchase, or until the day you take the NPTE-PTA, whichever comes first. The app uses the exam date you enter. If your PTA program bought your access, your year starts the first time you sign in.
What happens if I do not pass?
When you report in the app that you did not pass, your access continues to the last day of the next NPTE-PTA test date published by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).
Can I get a refund?
You can ask for a full refund within 7 days of purchase, as long as you have not completed 25% of any full-length practice exam in the app (45 of its 180 questions). A refund ends your access at once. To ask, write to support@theconedsolution.com from the email address on your account. The full policy is on our Refund Policy page.
Does the app guarantee that I will pass?
No. NPTE-PTA Prep is a study app. Practice exam scores in the app are not scores on the real exam and do not predict them. The ConEd Solution, LLC is not affiliated with or endorsed by FSBPT.
Does it award continuing education credit?
No. NPTE-PTA Prep is a study app for the NPTE-PTA. It is not a course and does not award continuing education credit.
Can a program add a student after the first invoice?
Yes. A student added to the same class is priced at the tier for the class’s new size. Students already paid for stay at the price paid. A program’s next class starts its own count.
How do refunds work when a program buys?
A program can ask for a refund for a student within 7 days of that student’s first sign-in, as long as the student has not completed 25% of any full-length practice exam. The refund goes to the program. Access that a student has never used can be moved to another student in the same class.
